Had a mds with a adapter on a 19mm spindle on my old bike and that was perfect.
Decided to try a 22mm spindle to see if they feel any stiffer, kept the MDS but it has a little play. I'm pretty sure that over time it will oalize.

I was thinking taping the 22 (fly) spindle until it fit the 23 or so mm the mds is (by itself without any adapters)

How well do sprockets fit on 22mm crank or with the MDS or on the fly cranks.

Thanks

(the good but hard way of doing it is making a little shim out of a can)

I'm assuming the bore on the MDS is 15/16", which means you would need an adapter for it to fit 22mm

15/16 is about 23mm, for it to fit a 22 spindle it would need to be 0.5mm on each side (that is ridiculously small)
Pretty sure it doesn't exist and if it does, can someone please show me!

The majority of 15/16" sprockets come with 19mm and 22mm adapters...

I'd just email Odyssey, I bet they'd sent you an adapter for free. Or just check your LBS...

Every 15/16ths sprocket I've seen uses an adapter. 15/16" is actually closer to 24mm than 23 (15/16=0.9375, which comes up to 23.8125mm) The way things are machined in BMX often allows fairly large tolerances, for example the Fit 24mm cranks use a normal 15/16ths sprocket.

I have Animal cranks (22mm) and that Sprocket and it needs an adaptor, find it here http://www.vitalbmx.com/forums/Bike-Checks,27/Fit-Mac-Setup,1269773
