46 and have been off bmx for 28 years. Off mtn bike for 2 years.

Looking for a cruiser to ride with my 7 year old.

Im looking at the redline mx 24 or the free agent ambush 24.

Any help is appreciated

There's lots of options for larger bmx bikes these days, the 2 you mentioned are track-oriented bikes, probably with aluminum frames. There are also chromo-frame 24s that are better suited to park and street riding, and then there's the 22" bikes, which are worth considering. They are scaled up just enough to fit a bigger adult rider and feel like your 20" did back in the day.

I've got an MX24, nice ride, swapped to a padded pivotal, 43t chanring and may go with a taller bar.

Depends on what you want to do. If you plan on sitting and pedaling get a frame with a taller seat tube, top tube more parallel to the ground.
