Mind elaborating? Just curious.

Added reply in a thread Secret sauce to bunny hop high 12/5/2019 6:29 AM

I used to be able to hop that high. I have aspirations to do it again but,.... I dunno. LOL.

Added reply in a thread How often to replace helmet? 11/27/2019 10:24 AM

I'm not sure it's the same, but for what it's worth, motorcycle helmet manufacturers recommend replacing a helmet every 3 years or so and after any impact (which could include a dropped helmet.... not that I'd replace a bicycle helmet after dropping ... more »

Added reply in a thread Mafiabikes bolts 11/19/2019 6:42 AM

ALSO, make sure that as you tighten the bolts that you are tightening them evenly so that the space between the stem base and the top clamp/cap have an even gap front to back and side to side.

He's saying the post you "grave dug" (because it's dead and buried) is from 2013 and the person who posted it isn't active. So, that is a no (most likely).

Added reply in a thread Hard to tighten top cap 11/18/2019 4:42 AM

Keep in mind, the top cap isn't meant to be "load-bearing". Meaning, you aren't supposed to crank it tight. It's meant for bearing adjustments and your stem is what holds that adjustment. So you snug up the top cap, then tighten the stem to hold it in ... more »

Added reply in a thread Anybody riding a Redline on here? 11/14/2019 10:37 AM

If you are looking for a bike, hit me up. I'm local to you (in case you haven't seen my other replies to your posts) and might have something for you, depending on your budget.

Added reply in a thread Anybody riding a Redline on here? 11/14/2019 10:35 AM

Sealed bearings are where it's at these days. Anything less is just for riding around town. So, yeah, all wheels have bearings (obviously) but your better wheelsets should have sealed bearing hubs

Added reply in a thread So, does anyone still ride anything other than 25/9 gearing and 20"ish top tube? 11/14/2019 10:33 AM

That was my problem. I was just able to squeeze in a 28 on the tallboy. Anything larger would require spacing & then my chain line would suffer.

Added reply in a thread So, does anyone still ride anything other than 25/9 gearing and 20"ish top tube? 11/14/2019 10:29 AM

Sure... if you have the space and chain line space.

Hey man. Milwaukee here (Oak Creek currently). I'm like you.... rode years ago and then moved on to Mountain biking & then other stuff. Got back into riding a couple years ago but have few people to ride with so that's a bummer. Maybe we could ride ... more »

HEY! RACINE! I'm in Oak Creek (currently, but heading into Milwaukee a bit). Anyway, to you questions, a 25/9 has been sorta standard over the years as "freestyle" has progressed. It allows for better clearance , as you stated, for drop-ins, etc... and

Foot forward is irrelevant. As is any sort of way you pull off any particular trick (unless you are playing a game of bike and you are forced to do a trick in a particular fashion). Being able to pull off tricks in either direction (regular or opposite.... ... more »

Added reply in a thread Alot of the New/current Frames Look alike. 11/6/2019 7:48 AM

This has been brought up before. I do miss the days where you could see a bike from a distance & know what it was. GHS, Quadangles, PK Rippers, Torkers, Redlines..... the list goes on. Personally, I'd like to see some of that trickle back into the ... more »

Added reply in a thread Deal or did I just throw away $50? 11/6/2019 7:43 AM

I don't know that I'd say you were "robbed" or it is a "steal". It is what it is. If the parts are OK and the frame is not beat to shit, it's certainly worth over $50 in parts alone. You could bargain-basement the bike as parts for sale and make more ... more »

Added reply in a thread Eastern throttle cranks 11/1/2019 5:25 AM

I've got them on my shovelhead. Haven't had any problems (knock on wood). & like said.... it's 30 bucks.... who cares at that price point?! Worst case, do a review of them, short and long-term.

Added reply in a thread I’m on a 25t sprocket,the style I want is only sold in a 28t will I need a new chain? 10/23/2019 11:17 AM

Depends. How old is your old chain? If it is relatively new (and so are the sprocket and cassette), you should be fine with a few extra links.

Pssst….. what you did there is called "grave digging" an old thread. Kinda frowned upon 'round these parts.... unless it offers pertinent information that is helpful to others. I see you are new so, we'll let this one slide. Next time, you owe everyone ... more »
