Added reply in a thread how to fakie properly? 4/11/2018 1:07 PM

I learned to roll out of fakies while trying to hop 360's first. It would happen almost naturally when I forced myself to stay on the bike as I would land around 200 and roll out. I then started practicing from a quarter and it was a little harder but ... more »

Hit up Midget Cory on Instagram and check out his trails frame. I think that you will like the value that it provides for the money. Full 4130, 74ht 21tt 13.5cs. brake mounts, gyro tab holes. I have the street version and the rear is a little short. ... more »

Man, I had those Adidas MirraIII's and they were the shit. lasted forever and were super comfortable. Best riding shoe I have ever owned. I would buy a stack of them if they'd just reissue them.

Added reply in a thread What jeans do you ride in? 3/19/2018 7:01 AM

I love the Old Navy Stretch Slim Straight Jeans/Pants. Loads of colors, always on sale, fit like you've had them for years but you can do yoga in them they stretch so much. Really great for putting pads under them. Also, Walmart has a Levi's signature ... more »

Added reply in a thread Just got body-slammed 3/15/2018 8:49 AM

I feel you pain. I did a tooth to feeble on the mini ramp the other day and had to bail. Shoe caught on the frame and I dropped straight to my unprotected, 45yr old knees. The pain and crazy swelling will keep me off the bike for at least a week or two. ... more »

Added reply in a thread Ring finger hurts from riding my bike 3/5/2018 10:27 AM

I get calluses on both hands where my ring finger meets my palm. They often tear and cause me serious pain. Not sure if it has to do more with bars or my hand shape. I have hitchhikers thumb so it may be from the lack of mobility there. Was no different ... more »

Added reply in a thread Am I too old? 2/21/2018 5:53 AM

I turn 45 this year and have been back on a bike for the last 7-8months. I feel like I will never be where I was in my late 20's but I am having as much or more fun as I did then. I am still learning new tricks every week and the injuries have been minor. ... more »

Go to Tampa and hit the Bro Bowl and the SPOT. Then ride some street. Great locals there to ride with.

Added reply in a thread Awesome/terrible cities to bmx in 2/20/2018 7:28 AM

I second the nomination for Daytona Beach but Tampa Florida kills it. Everytime I ride there I can believe that the scene is so alive and there are so many killer spots. They have killer parks too. Bro Bowl, the SPOT, a new St Pete park coming with a ... more »

Added reply in a thread Pedals with more grip? 2/13/2018 6:14 AM

I ride pro classics (vans) and BSD safari pedals. This combo seems pretty solid. I will say that it grips a little too good at times. I have a line where I drop in and immediately have to hop to an up-rail and I have been in a situation where I drop ... more »

Added reply in a thread TT length, stem reach/height 2/12/2018 8:12 AM

I ride a 20.75 with a 75.5 HA and just switched to a 53mm Profile Topload and 9.5 bars from a 50mm front load and 8.75 bars. It has improved every aspect of my riding. My nose/nollie tricks have improved the most, along with manual tricks and my hops. ... more »

Added reply in a thread Pedals with oversized spindles 2/2/2018 7:10 AM

I'm loving my new BSD safari pedals. They feel great and I haven't had a single slip on them. They spin well and feel really solid.

Added reply in a thread Front end wobbly? 1/31/2018 8:24 AM

you should include a picture of the upper end of the head tube and your collection of parts there. I had an issue with one build where I had to add a small spacer under the dust cap to raise it slightly from the head tube. you may be running into an ... more »

Added reply in a thread This is how cold it is here today! 1/30/2018 10:19 AM

It's 65 and sunny here today. Windy as all hell though. I can't stand it anywhere below 70 myself. Florida is great though. Very short winter.

Added reply in a thread Best budget street frame? 1/30/2018 6:25 AM

I'm really happy with my Gypsy Bikes Street Frame and for the price you can't beat it. Why buy used when you can have new for so much less. If you aren't swayed by Branding, the Gypsy is a good bet. If you like mellow geometry, look at the Gypsy Trail. ... more »
