Get a used custom. The wtp is way overpriced

Typically I don’t look at weight unless it’s a ridiculous change. A few ounces on a frame or bars (not the stupid 40 oz ones lol) you don’t notice but adding 10 oz to a hub and 5 to a rim you’re going to feel. makes the bike feel so sluggish

Yeah same thing with the primo wheel I had. It was so heavy it sucked to spin, hop, tailwhip anything lol. I’m not even a scrawny kid it just feels like horrible for tricks lol.

The ones that you’re talking about came out a few years ago right? The Reynolds 3s before those were the best lol. But Emerica makes some of the best riding shoes in general. Way better than vans and so much cheaper lol. Any of the soletech brands are ... more »

They aren’t exactly the same. The toe is weird and pointy looking and the sole/midsole and tongue is different. I wish they just re issued the original Reynolds 3. One of the best skate shoes ever. I had a pair when I was like 16 lol they were a nice ... more »

The aftermarket ones are indestructible (They still break I’ve cracked one) the hi ten stock ones are just generic bikes with Sunday stickers basically like all other hi ten completes

Because cult is wack everything about cult is wack lol

Vulcanized shoes suck. Personally I usually wear a slim cupsole. It has the board feel(pedals) with more protection. I only get shoes from Emerica, es, lakai, circa, etnies (not much)

But if you happen to break a sound wave you get one for free. And they last quite a while. With an s&m you can buy another one at a discounted price so. I’d trust a sound wave long before an s&m esp with their welds

I always hated coasters but I kind of want to try the Far East flatland coaster. Only 15 oz (I hate the feeling of a heavy backend) I pedal pressure but doing fakie manuals and stuff is fun and way easier than on cassette lol

For sure haha I don’t remember many if anyone who rode micro pegs

Reply to Companies whose frames you would be scared to ride 3/1/2019 12:25 PM

Do you not recall that awful trans Rasta S&m atf colorway lol. S&m isn’t anything special and have had their fair share of edgy cringe marketing to that demographic lol

Yeah that’s the only ledges I can do them on. Maybe I’ll give them a go one day. But typically I grind on my dropouts/hub/pedal whatever I almost prefer it over a peg. Maybe I’ll ride one peg in the front haha. I don’t really care about feeble grinds ... more »

Yes m8 but I am not too hyped up on the pegless term its whatever haha. I just don’t like big clunky pegs on my bike and it seems I break a lot of spokes and shit riding them, I hate wheel maintenance also.

I think a front one could be useful for smiths on rounder ledges. I can only pegless smith on certain ledges. Other than that a regular peg would be better for other grinds. I typically just grind on my dropouts/hub lol

I think they’re cool. I might get the madera ones someday. I’ve never ridden micro pegs but I do pegless grinds, I actually like them more because it feels more like you’re on the ledge I guess idk. Lighter, look cleaner you don’t hit your legs on them, ... more »

S&m meets the criteria of “good enough” but nothing more. I like to know what I’m getting is going to be good quality and not random especially with how much more their pricing is than most other companies. And as I’ve said it’s not that those frames ... more »

Well parts aren’t going to break in a year except the one thread where he went through 2 s&m frames in a year. The btm is a newer frame and I have seen a lot of those break. Also people don’t really post them breaking as much anymore due to forums ... more »

Looks like it broke on the weld. Those infamous poor quality s&m welds lol. They were definitely ridden and rusty but overall they haven’t seen big drops or anything outside of normal tricks at the park etc. Xxohioanxx got a s&m made barcode
