Added reply in a thread Has anyone gone from 20.5 to a 20.25 top tube and does it really make that much of a difference? 12/5/2019 2:19 PM

I ride 20.5 right now and I notice top tube a lot. I had 20.75 before this and can’t stand it. The bike felt too long even though the backend was a lot shorter. Made bars and whips and every trick you need to be over the front end for harder. I don’t ... more »

Added reply in a thread Tailwhip 12/5/2019 11:27 AM

Everyone I know that can whip usually learns them flyout. I guess it’s easier. I’ve never done a fly out tailwhip but I’ve done pretty much every other variation.

I’m definitely looking for something that I don’t have to true/replace spokes every week. My back wheel needs tightened almost every two weeks. Also good to hear the 7KAs were the worst I’ve ever put tires on. I destroyed at least 5 tubes trying to get ... more »

Also considering g sport wheels. Do you know if custom built wheels are any different than stock aftermarket ones in terms of how long they last? I don’t build my own wheels haha

Thanks for the review of the wide rims dude. Yeah I feel that I’ve thrown my bike quite a bit lol. I don’t even ride pegs (I do pegless grinds here and there) and my current wheel set lasted maybe 5 months brand new. The wider rims look so sick imo. ... more »

I hear a lot of good things about those, I used to ride 7kas forever ago

Added reply in a thread Strong wheels? Wide rims 10/25/2019 5:59 PM

They look solid and I like the look of the wide rim a lot haha. I don’t even really grind but a few pegless grinds here and there but still go through wheels fast.

After this 777/vx2 I don’t think I’d ride cinemas lol this is probably the worst wheel I’ve owned. Also agree a good build does help a lot. Not that I can build them haha

Ok so i am looking at new wheels because I’ve gone through 2 brand new after market wheelsets in a year and I’m tired of breaking them. 1. Do wide rims effect strength of wheel? I’m thinking about getting the federal xls laced to g sport/odyssey hubs ... more »

I support whoever gives me a good product for the price. Frame prices from these older companies are ridiculous now. I’m not paying 400 dollars shipped for an s&m, fbm or t1 (standards are upwards of 460 shipped) when I could get a federal, mutiny, ... more »

Just buy a light bike if your bike is 20 lbs doing tricks doesn’t require much.

Added reply in a thread Tall Bars vs Short Bars 10/10/2019 10:55 AM

I can definitely notice a difference. My riding becomes so much worse with tall bars. I don’t think any of my tricks actually benefit from a taller rise. So really all it does is make cruising more comfortable

8x24 Frontload stem Big bars make me lose so many tricks, especially tailwhip variations.

Danscomp has always been the best I’ve ordered from. I sent a part back recently and had no issues.

Added reply in a thread Is it a Fly bike ? 10/1/2019 5:58 AM

Nope not a fly. The downtube gusset looks like one you’d see on a stock frame fly mostly used internal gussets on their frames. Likely it’s just a fly sticker on the frame.

Added reply in a thread Just started riding and need help with bunny hop tail whips. 10/1/2019 5:57 AM

Smaller bikes for sure help hop whips. Low frames and bars are the best.

Added reply in a thread Looking to build a lighter BMX 9/10/2019 5:50 PM

The lightest bike I had I used a flatland frame that was under 4 lbs the whole bike totaled probably around 19.5ish lbs. Most of my other bikes have been around 21-23 I never really have a good method to weigh them

Added reply in a thread 2000s was the pinnacle of bmx, change my mind 9/7/2019 9:03 PM

Disagree on the bikes being better. I hate all the new stuff: huge tires, massive bars, topload stems, long tall frames, 20 freecoasters that are all the same. I’d take a bike from 2007-9 over most current trend bikes. Look at dans comp in 2010 you could ... more »
