V1 Tall Boy has a 13.475"-13.75" CS vs. the V2's 13" CS (S&M doesn't specify if that's slammed, or max). Should be pretty easy to measure from the center of the BB to the slammed dropout position to verify.

Whammo has the standard 4.6"-ish tall HT. Check out Mike Hoder's bike checks from, before his most recent BTM XL one... He used the 172mm Widemouth XL with his standard BTM (same size HT as the Whammo). If I remember correctly he had to use a tall headset ... more »

I don't think a lot of people use the Dagger for mainly street riding (unless they are on the shorter side). Back when the ATF first came out 13.4" CS was actually pretty short/ responsive... lol

The Holy Diver has a 5" tall head tube (meaning you can run less spacers, or get a taller steerer tube fork and run more spacers), .5° steeper HTA, short CS at 12.7"-13" and a 1/2" taller standover height vs. the ATF. It's the most street orientated ... more »

I guarantee you I'd notice it, because I'm a tall large lump... lol Also, OP I see that S&M has the DTF in 21" for sale on their site for $299 + free shipping. Showing only 2 left: https://www.sandmbikes.com/product/hardgoods/frames/dtf-frame/

I noticed this when I read OP's reply. If the Fit 22" frame is identical to the ATF 22" wheel frame the 20" wheel ATF frame is going to feel way more responsive (in any size).

Given your height it would be a tough call. Being that I'm 6'3" I'd always go with the .25" bigger option... Have you looked at the 21" DTF frame? The DTF having a 13.30"-14.05" CS would give you the most adjustment in having a street, park and even ... more »

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm trying to say... You absolutely don't have to sugarcoat, or validate some rider that hasn't progressed long term/ over the years. At the same time it would be pretty fucked to tell someone that they aren't a "bmxer", ... more »

His frame is brakeless with no gyro holes, or chain tensioners. Since he's able to install his seat with no problems... The only other thing I could think of would be the nuts that keep the pedal bodies on, but they look too small for that.

Added reply in a thread Removing 3 piece cranks 7/26/2020 10:40 AM

That's how OP ended up stripping his bolt/ spindle... The crank tool "bottoms out" and "tightens" into the spindle meaning there's no wiggle, or looseness in the bolt/ thread interface. When you back out the "actual" crank bolt and wack it the threads ... more »

Why not just spend the $12 for the Calibur v2 crank arm puller? It's actually a shame that Odyssey doesn't include the tool with Calibur cranks... By the time you by the cranks + tool you're already spending the same as Thunderbolts. Yet, you don't even ... more »

I'd definitely recommend going with a 21.5" frame if you go the build route.

Nope, leave this shit to the skateboarders... Gatekeeping rider skill in not what the bmx community is about. Respect on the other hand has to come from an individual, so I have zero say in that regard.
